my roommate talks about how great his Mac Mini is all of the time.... I ask him "Why is it so great?" He says "Because everything works with it?"

He uses it for word processing only, btw. That excuse is silly, because I've honestly found nothing, or next to nothing, that hasn't worked perfectly fine on my PC. PC's are just less slick looking...

and Mac has a kickass Advertising firm of late, those ones with the two guys (one says "I'm a Mac",the other says "I'm a PC") are actually kinda creative.

I don't like the new add campaign.... it's too pretentious. And anyone who knows anything about computers will know that they're full of shit.

The one where the guy is like "OH yeah, I work with this Japanese digital camera too" is dumb, because I've plugged something like 5 different, new cameras (not mine, of course) into my PC as of late, and they all worked 100% perfectly.

And then the one where the guy is talking about the Mac's creative/productivity suite... "Yeah you can make movies, listen to music, do blah blah... it all comes with a Mac!" Microsoft Office does just about everything the guy talks about (the only difference is you have to buy it). Aside from that, I've found that Adobe Premiere works flawlessly for me on my PC, and I've had nothing but problems with it on Macs. Final Cut Pro is a Mac program and I honestly didn't like it as much as Premiere. Same goes for Photoshop... better on the PC, imo.

PC > Mac

I don't care what campaign they run... Macs are good for the same reason Linux is good... they're slightly more unique and "slick" and it's easier to be proud of owning a Mac than owning a PC just because you can say "oh yeah, I'm different."

But anyway yeah - I agree. But just because they're targeting people that don't know anything about computers with their adds doesn't mean the adds are not good.
