Hey guys how are you all doing? It's been ahwile since I last saw you. I see that you won your last match! I got a new computer for christmas and I am having trouble gettting half-life loaded! I need help!

Well my sister somehow threw away my old cd case so now I have no cd key to enter. So I am stuck and have no idea how to get around it.

Also my mIRC is a pain. I can't join any rooms it keeps saying

First off, in mIRC, connect to the gamesnet server.

Should look like this:

[10:51] *** Connecting to west.gamesnet.net (6667)

as for a CD key, I think someone around here knows a few ways to get around that. ;)

You've ended up on dal.net

Type /server west.gamesnet.net in your irc to connect to gamesnet, then when you're connected, type /join #nlv

thanks for all the help, but now when I type in /server west.gamesnet.net I get the connecting message and never connect!

It might be because of your firewall.. or a few other things thats dragging it along.

I have the problem where it takes at least 3 mins to connect to mIRC. Just let it sit for about 3-5 mins, and see if that works.

If you have problems, try /server ny.gamesnet.net or /server tx.gamesnet.net. Those seem to be faster servers compared to the rest of gamesnet.
